I’ll be having the surgery really soon. I know that I have to take a multi vitamin, calcium, B-12, meal replacement shakes, & protein drinks. What are some good cost efficient brands out there to buy. I’ve been told on how important protein is in order to keep hair from falling out, so I want to make sure I get something that works well!! Do they eat A LOT and gain the weight back ?
or can they gain it back eating like a person who hasn’t had bypass?
If they had Gastric Bypass and lost all of the weight would they still have to stick to a strict diet to keep from gaining it back?
Or are they just eating like hogs and feeding their faces every time they get the chance .. and gaining it back?
Please help me to settle a long going debate between my friend and I. I told her that even though I don’t know of anyone – that it seems plausible to me, that LapBand surgery can be done on someone who has had gastric bypass surgery, about 5 years ago. She doesn’t see how it can happen, since the stomach is smaller and the band would have nothing to ‘fit’ around. What are your views?
I had gastric bypass about 7 months, I have been in that stupid plateau stage for about a month now. Which normal I know, but I have been stuck at 80 lbs weight loss for a month. I just cant seem to get beyond the 180 mark on the scale. Any suggestions from other gastric bypass patients would be great! Not getting discouraged, I know it will come off, just want to know if there is anything I can do to help it along again!

When I had my gastric bypass done in “2002″ I was told I had to have B12 shots every month. My doctor keeps testing my blood and says I don’t need it. So my question I guess is what is in the B12 Shots that I might be needing that he is overlooking?
I had a gastric bypass 8 years ago. Some one recently informed me there might be a procedure that is an adjustment to the bypass. I was just wondering it anyone had any info or knew anything about it. It is not the Lapband. I know that procedure.
A friend of mine had a gastric bypass a year and a half ago. She seems okay with liquids, but solid food really seems to give her significant abdominal distress especially if she drinks liquid AFTER eating solids. Also, she is CONSTANTLY belching even if she hasn’t eaten for hours. Is this normal for so long after the bypass? Will it be this way forever?

It has been 7 months after I had a Gastric Bypass Surgery. I would think that smoking weed would be safer than smoking cigarettes, but I was just curious if smoking weed would be dangerous after the Gastric Bypass.
