Gastric Bypass Cost

my friend is in bad shape he had a gastric bypass 5 yrs ago and was in alot of pain and due to long cut ,would be in pain until healed.13 months later he went to his dr#1 and complained of excruciating pain still. dr#1 said don’t worry! well he wanted 2nd op. and dr#2 did egd and found a 4″ jp drain protruding through his new stomach. he took it out. after many tests they said it damaged internal parts and will be in pain for ever . he got a lawyer and they used the dr#2 that removed the tube for expert witness. well then 3 years later the dr#2 that was the expert wit lost his license and was told he no longer has a case due to dr2 losing license! and lawyer said he would not put any more into the case because he was out $$$$k.before the dr#2 lost license he had perfect case. lawyer said no good. and lawyer says he wants to settle for costs. Is someone paid off???case changed from good to bad for him really quick? lawyer is closing case! is friend obligated to settle for fees?

I am 37 and cannot lose weight.
I have a good diet, I excercise by walking and cannot lose weight.
I refuse to take the pills or rely on slim fast type products.
I dont like the severity of the gastric bypass but am curious about the lap band.
I am 234 pounds and 5′4″ need help.

I had RNY gastric bypass 3 wks ago and have yet to find a protein powder I like that has a high protein content (30 g), is low in sugar and tastes good. The Dr. recommends protein shakes b/c its good for your muscles, immunity and respitory system after having this surgery.

I recently had 2 go on disability due to the diagnosos of SLE Systemic Lupus, I desperately need a gastric bypass after gaing tons of weight since the diagnosis & Steroid treaments. Prednisone blew me up to 300+ pounds. This surgery would really save my life & make it easier 2 live with the pain of SLE & all of the numerouse joint afflictions effected. No one should have to live life in so much pain everyday, and no one should have to be trapped by there body due to a drug side effect. If anayone knows something on how a poor 23yr old woman can get a new lease on life through this surgery Gastric bypass please help! I am on disability, I barely have 2 pennies 2 rub together, how can I get this life saving surgery???? Please help me I want to live!!!

I was wondering if anyone has this surgery done overseas and if so how did it go? how do you feel now? do you recommend it? how much did it cost?
The reason i would like to know is because i have no insurance and its so expensive here i’ve heard of it being done in different countries for a lot cheeper. so if you can give me some information i would really appreciate it.

i have a spinal disease so i’m not able to exercise and i have tried different diets. my insurance at work doesnt cover the surgery. i am desperate the surgery costs 15-20k

I have been diagnosed with fatty liver disease and type 2 diabeties. I did some research and I fall into all of the perameters for gastric bypass, but most insurance companies don’t like to cover it. Help!
