my mom just had gastric bypass surgery exactly one week ago, and she is starving! she’s only been eating protein shakes and sugar free clear liquids.
has anyone else had this surgery? do you know what’s okay to eat? she knows she can’t eat anything solid, but what foods are okay for her to eat right now?
Does anybody know pretty much all, or atleast most of the testing they do before your approved for Gastric Bypass surgery? Like thyroid test etc. Answers appreciated.
The insurance I have through my job (PHCS) has verbally stated that they will not cover ANY weight loss related procedures. My doctor is wanting me to do the lap band procedure so I would like to see about getting my own insurance that will cover the cost. Any suggestions?
A friend of mine had a gastric bypass a year and a half ago. She seems okay with liquids, but solid food really seems to give her significant abdominal distress especially if she drinks liquid AFTER eating solids. Also, she is CONSTANTLY belching even if she hasn’t eaten for hours. Is this normal for so long after the bypass? Will it be this way forever?
How much does the average gastric bypass cost …and for people who have had it….what do you think about it…im 19…gonna be 20 on the 7th of sept…and i have been overweight pretty much my whole life….so please help me….and trust me i have tried just about every diet!
